This is my first full set of gel nails. I did these on my friend Kadie last Wednesday at college, they took me 1hr 50min which I was really happy with because you give yourself 2hrs. Unfortunaley one has come off since I did them but even though that is sad. I’m still pretty chuffed with these as they was my first full timed attempt. ^^

I love these cats! They are called Maneki-Neko [招き猫] cats which is Japanese and it means Beckoning cat or welcoming cat. My favourite is the white cat. I find them really interesting and I think this is my personal favourite design now. :]

I have the most fun doing nail art when I pick some random colours and just go with it. This and my next two designs are done like that haha.

Hey everyone! These are kind of paint splatter nails. I painted my nails black, then used acrylic white paint. I just dipped my brush in and flicked it to create the spatter and then I went in with normal polish and a dotting tool to create the colour. :]

I was shopping and I saw these cheap fake tattoos. I have seen people in the past use them for nail art, but I have never actually tried it myself and thought I would give it a go. I just painted my nail white, cut the tattoo up and stuck it to my nails! Turned out really pretty. Defiantly something I would do again if I want something insanely quick to do with little effort.

Hey, well I don’t have a job so I’m with Job Center, although they don’t help at all with people trying to improve themselves. They put me on something called a work programme and I got put with a company called Barnardos. I was lucky that the adviser I got was lovely and really wanted to help me. I told her about my nail art passion and showed her my blog and Facebook page, she then told me about the Prince’s Trust. We went to their site you fill out a form type thing from what I can remember you explain why you want the grant and how it would help you. Obviously for me it was wanting to gain the qualifications which will hopefully help me become self employed. They rung me within the week and if you are successful then they arrange a little meeting with you like they did me, they did it in the train station cafe so it was relaxed and that it just to get all your information and stuff. They can grant you up to £500 which you don’t have to pay back.

I was requested to do a nautical design and here is what I came up with. I have other ideas I want to try. Red white and blue always work brilliantly together I think. OH! And we have had some nice sunshine past 5pm recently which makes is a whole lot easier getting a picture that doesn’t look like it was taken down a alley. :D

These are pretty girly, but the black line takes the edge off...

Black and White tribal type nails.

This picture is also the last you will see from me having longish nails, since I have now started my artificial structures course and we have to practice acrylics and gels in pairs soooo yeah. I have to say I really enjoy doing the false nails to other people but definatly do not like having it done to me. :[
